VP of Technology and Infrastructure

The position of VP, Technology and Infrastructure is responsible for leading and architecting key infrastructure projects in a growing complex environment, the streamlined operation and technical leadership of the IT infrastructure team in alignment with the company strategic goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and performance functions for all computing platforms and data storage infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and telecom.
  • Oversee the development of strategies and standards for platform infrastructure, enterprise storage management and platform operations automation, while ensuring that service levels adhere to ITIL principles.
  • Responsible for the overall architecture, design, deployment, utilization, and enhancement of enterprise infrastructure (data center operations, networking, telecom, end user devices, etc.).
  • Plan and implement major modifications to company-wide technology infrastructure, including relevant data center migrations and disaster recovery/business continuity plans, as well as the high volume of field operations changes (moves, adds, changes, removal of physical infrastructure).
  • Manage technology vendors and partners.
  • Manage technology budget planning and execution throughout the year.
  • Oversight of corporate technology support team, processes, and performance to ensure all employees have the technology needed and support required to be productive and successful.
  • Oversee operations of the information systems, including local area networks and wide-area networks, telecommunications, databases, and office automation.
  • Responsible for availability and uptime of infrastructure (owned, shared, and outsourced).
  • Responsible for change management process to ensure the availability and uptime of key systems.
  • Partner and lead the creation of the IT Infrastructure Roadmap, including strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems.
  • Monitor regulatory and industry changes or potential impact to company IT and infrastructure.
  • In collaboration with the CISO, be accountable for securing the organization's networks, systems, applications, and data from internal and external threats.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related technical degree required
  • 10+ years relevant work experience exhibiting increasing responsibility and track record or success
  • Experience with Cloud/ AWS, preferred
  • Industry experience in unemployment cost control, employment verification and tax credit services a plus
  • Strong experience managing data centers and technology vendors and partners
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Extensive knowledge of information technology systems, Cloud architecture and best use, enterprise software applications and enterprise application management, wide-area and local-area networking protocols, and office productivity applications
  • Experience with the following highly desired: Active Directory, VMware, Fortinet (FortiGate, security services, and VPN), Windows Server, VMWare, Dell hardware including servers, storage, and networking, PowerShell, Windows 10, Office 365, AWS, Okta single sign-on, CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Zoom, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and OnBase
