Chief Technology Officer
We are looking for a CTO to continue expanding our investment in technology, collaborate with our clients to create new and compelling product features, and champion new methods of technology and process improvement for internal efficiencies. The CTO will also lead and continue to grow our technology team.
The position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for the strategic direction of the company's technology, infrastructure, and personnel with a special focus on innovation for client needs and internal process efficiencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage a complex IT environment and uphold best-in-class standards.
- Lead the technology department's operational and strategic planning, which includes fostering innovation, organizing, developing, and managing the departmental budget and planning projects.
- Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships.
- Seek out and coordinate innovation opportunities to better serve the company's clients and to increase internal process efficiencies.
- Ensure the security and protection of our corporate information systems and compliance with government, industry, and client-required security requirements.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for clients and accounts in situations where a high-level perspective is required on the strategic direction.
- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports organizational needs.
- Define and execute a product roadmap for existing and new technology implementations and communicate to key business stakeholders.
- Direct development and execution of industry-leading high availability infrastructure and application design with reliable disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Act as primary liaison for the enterprise technology vision via regular communication with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users.
- Authority to hire, terminate or recommend staff as necessary to enable success in support of the overall strategy.
- Management of IT department including infrastructure, software development, project management, and product management professionals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study required. Master's Degree preferred.
- 15+ years' experience in an Information Technology, Systems/Networks, or Software Development senior leadership role in one or more organizations partnering with executive staff and/or board of directors in the development and implementation of major technology strategies.
- Experience in client-facing SaaS solutions.
- Experience in internal software to automate and increase efficiencies of operational staff and processes.
- Experience developing schedules, budgets, goals, and plans and gaining buy-in from peers in the executive team.
- Experience with .NET Framework, C#, HMTL, JavaScript frameworks, CSS, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, ETL and understanding of Object Orient Programming principles.
- Experience with OnBase, Salesforce, Talkdesk, Zendesk, etc. a plus.
- Experience with Scrum and agile development methodologies.
- Experience with data center management including cloud providers such as Amazon AWS.
- Possess a Microsoft Certification (MCP, MCSA, MCSD, MCSE) and/or ITIL certification preferred.

- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in a broad spectrum of technology areas.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, effectively illustrate, and communicate technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product road map.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the latest advances in technology, communication systems, software and industry relating to high available information systems.
- Strong organizational skills aligning a team behind both a long-term strategy and short-term strategy.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, develop and retain top talent.
