Business Development Specialist

The position of Business Development Specialists, support the Business Development Manager and sales executives on the front-end of the sales cycle from prospecting to initial outreach. This position manages business development activities for the company, driving sales activities in their assigned territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leverage information from CRM (Salesforce) and sales enablement technology (SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to prioritize outreach to high-value accounts across a multi-state territory
  • Quickly navigate complex organizations and identify key stakeholders, from users to decision makers
  • Deliver compelling value proposition to senior-level executives, overcome scheduling objections, and successfully engage prospects (conversations/webinars/conf. calls)
  • Fulfill weekly/monthly goals set forth by the VP of Sales
  • 50+ outbound calls per day
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and etiquette
  • Ability to think quickly and overcome objections effectively
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations to achieve desired business results
  • Show an understanding of the challenges facing prospects' business and tailor outreach accordingly
  • Implacable drive to achieve and exceed goals

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 2-year degree required, 4-year degree preferred
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferred
  • Proven track record in business development/inside sales
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
