Billing and Accounts Receivable Administrator
The Billing and Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for all billing, receivable, and reconciliation functions. This position will provide accounting assistance to customers, respond to inquiries, recommend action, and reconcile account issues. The Billing and Accounts Receivable Administrator will report directly to the Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares, posts, verifies and records customer/vendor payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including names or address changes, mergers or mailing attentions.
- Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
- Assists in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
- Answers clients request through accounting inbox and occasional phone calls.
- Runs accounts receivable aging and responds to internal requests for invoice copies or status of accounts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 2-5 years relevant accounting and billing experience required.
- Ability to work remotely with periodic on-site work at Nashville campus.
- Experience with accounting software programs required. NetSuite preferred. Salesforce a plus.
- Technical knowledge of accounting regulations, policies and procedures required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
